Loopscale, a cryptocurrency exchange, has reached an agreement with hackers who stole $5.8 million in return for a reward payment.
The hackers will return 90% of the stolen funds, equivalent to 35,527 SOL, and keep 10% as a bounty.
Loopscale appreciates the attacker's willingness to settle and plans to provide updates on vault withdrawals and a detailed analysis of the attack.
This incident adds to the increasing trend of security breaches in the cryptocurrency industry, with over $1.6 billion stolen in the first quarter of 2025.
