The Climate Vulnerable Forum (CVF) is considering establishing a regional office in the Philippines to assist the country and its climate vulnerable neighbors.
The CVF, an international alliance of nations highly susceptible to climate change impacts, aims to set up a regional office in the Philippines with the assistance of the Philippine government.
Hosting a CVF office in the Philippines is viewed as beneficial for dealing with climate-related challenges in the Asia-Pacific region, as stated by Senator Loren Legarda.
Before setting up the regional office, the CVF and the Philippine government need to sign a host country agreement and gain approval from the CVF's Global Parliamentary Group.
