“Damaged” Mac App Store Apps
- The Mac App Store places a receipt file in each purchased application.
- The receipt includes a certificate that expires after a limited amount of time, causing the 'damaged' message.
- As long as your Apple Account has a valid purchase, you won't see the 'damaged' message.
- There have been reports of problems launching Mac App Store apps, possibly related to receipt validation code.
