Data centre infrastructure management startup CIMware has secured $2.3 Mn in a Pre-Series A funding round from Transition VC to enhance hardware production, software team, and cover operating expenses.
The Bengaluru-based startup received grants from DoT to develop 20 CIM units for pilot integration with Indian data centers, aiming to provide energy-efficient and cost-effective solutions for AI computing and storage.
Founded in 2018, CIMware plans to focus on direct sales in India and the US, with white-labeled deployment in South Asia and expansion through partnerships, targeting AI-centric data centers, telecom networks, and enterprise cloud stacks.
While aiming to capture a significant market share by 2027, CIMware faces competition from industry heavyweights like HPE and Cisco in the CIM units space, amidst a growing demand for data centers in India driven by initiatives like the India AI mission.
