  • For most professional investors, investing more than 1.5%-2% of an individual fund into one deal is considered a lot of money.
  • A $2m-$4m investment is considered the sweet spot, representing 1.5%-2.5% of the fund.
  • Investing $7m-$8m+ is possible if there is high conviction, but most VCs prefer to do it over 2 rounds to offset some risks.
  • Seed VC funds have grown in size to ensure that each individual initial check isn't more than 1.5%-2% of the fund.
