PlutoPe, a DeFi startup, raised $500,000 in a pre-seed round led by angel investor Manit Gupta.
The funding will be used to expand its global user base, target under-connected markets, and enhance its services.
PlutoPe, founded in 2022 by Kumar Chetan Tyagi, operates as a non-custodial crypto neobank, providing full user control over digital assets.
The platform integrates a secure wallet, multi-chain token swaps, real-time remittances, and a globally accepted debit card on a decentralized architecture.
PlutoPe plans to launch new offerings including crypto debit cards for MENA, SEA, and LATAM regions, a merchant-facing crypto payment application, and an on-ramp product for Indian users.
The company aims to reduce entry barriers in digital finance by prioritizing user experience and fostering direct asset ownership.
PlutoPe has shown early traction with 9% month-on-month user growth, 65% active user retention, and over $14.5 million worth of token swaps processed.
Future plans include forming partnerships with stablecoin issuers, Layer-1 blockchain networks, and progressive banking institutions to expand its global presence.
