A Delta flight was diverted to the mid-Atlantic island of Terceira in the Azores due to an engine issue, leaving passengers stranded for more than 29 hours.
The Airbus A330, Flight 127 from Madrid to New York, landed in the Azores after a mechanical problem was detected midair.
Passengers had to wait for another Delta A330 from New York to pick them up and continue their journey.
This incident is not the first time a Delta flight has diverted to Terceira due to a mechanical issue, with a similar occurrence happening in 2023.
