The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has fined Akasa Air Rs 10 lakh for failing to compensate passengers who were denied boarding.The action was taken against Akasa Air for the denial of boarding of seven passengers on a flight from Bangalore to Pune on Sept. 6.The replacement aircraft had nine non-operational seats, leading to the denial of boarding for seven passengers.The airline failed to comply with DGCA norms regarding compensation for denied boarding.
