Drone brand DJI could soon be banned from operating in the United States.
The Countering CCP Drones Act has passed unanimously by the House Energy and Commerce Committee and will move on to a floor vote in the House of Representatives within the next two months.
The ban is motivated by concerns over DJI's security risks and to foster a competitive drone industry in the US.
DJI has been previously placed on the Department of Commerce's Entity List, and the ban may be seen as part of a broader crackdown on Chinese tech companies.
