President-elect Donald Trump has appointed Bo Hines, a former college football player and 2022 Republican congressional candidate, as the executive director of his administration’s new “Crypto Council.”
Hines will work with David Sacks to foster innovation and growth in the digital assets space while ensuring industry leaders have the resources they need to succeed.
Former FTX CEO Ryan Salame, who donated $13.4 million to Republican candidates, including Hines, had previously backed Hines financially.
Trump's ongoing support for the cryptocurrency industry is evident with these appointments and his intention to make the United States the "world capital of crypto."
