<ul><li>The Delhi government's upcoming Electric Vehicle Policy 2.0 aims to phase out vehicles running on fossil fuels and promote the use of electric vehicles across the metropolis, according to officials.</li><li>Starting Aug. 15 this year, new registrations for CNG-powered autorickshaws will not be allowed, and existing CNG auto permits will not be renewed, with only e-auto permits being issued.</li><li>By Aug. 15, 2026, two-wheelers using petrol, diesel, or compressed natural gas will no longer be allowed, while new registrations for goods carrier three-wheelers powered by these fuels will stop from Aug. 15, 2025.</li><li>Private car owners with two or more vehicles will only be allowed to purchase electric cars once the policy comes into effect, with the goal of minimizing the use of fossil fuels and promoting cleaner transportation.</li></ul>
