Xtend Reality Inc., a drone technology startup for the defense sector, has secured $30 million in funding led by Aliya Capital Partners and Protego Ventures.
The funding is an extension of Xtend's $40 million Series B round announced in May. The company has now raised a total of $95 million in external funding.
Xtend's software platform, XOS, enables military personnel to operate drones using a virtual reality headset. The platform utilizes AI to enhance drone operation and can work with third-party drones as well.
Xtend plans to expand its drone manufacturing capacity with the new funding and recently opened a factory in Florida to produce unmanned aerial systems for the U.S. Defense Department.
