Dutch startup QuiX Quantum has secured €15 million in Series A funding to deliver the world’s first single-photon-based universal quantum computer in 2026.
The funding round was co-led by Invest NL and EIC Fund, with support from existing investors PhotonVentures, Oost NL, and FORWARD.one.
QuiX Quantum aims to address the demand for more computational power by delivering large-scale, fault-tolerant quantum computers designed to implement a universal gate set.
The company's photonic quantum computer leverages principles like superposition, entanglement, and interference to process information differently from classical computers.
