<ul data-eligibleForWebStory="false"><li>Japan has agreed to introduce the next-generation E10 series Shinkansen trains for India's Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train corridor, with the E10 likely to be operational in the early 2030s.</li><li>The E10, known as Alfa-X, can reach speeds up to 400 kmph and offers advancements in safety, energy efficiency, and passenger comfort over the current E5 models.</li><li>Japan will initially provide E5 trains for trial purposes which will later be replaced by the high-end E10 versions. The E5 trains will be used to collect operational data for design improvements.</li><li>The Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail project in India has reached milestones with the completion of a tunnel section and the progress of civil works, viaduct construction, and station development.</li></ul>
