<ul data-eligibleForWebStory="false"><li>Electronic Arts (EA) has announced the shutdown of Anthem's servers, effective January 12, 2026.</li><li>Anthem will remain playable online for the next 180+ days, but in-game premium currency purchases have been disabled.</li><li>Existing premium currency can still be used until the servers go offline. Anthem will be removed from digital stores and EA Play library.</li><li>EA's decision to sunset Anthem comes after previous plans to redesign the game were canceled in February 2021. Anthem is a multiplayer online action-RPG developed by BioWare.</li></ul>
