Elden Ring Nightreign will not have two-player mode at launch but might consider adding it in a post-launch update.
The director of Elden Ring Nightreign, Junya Ishizaki, mentioned that the two-player option was overlooked during development and the studio is now looking into adding it in the future.
The game was designed for three-player squads but solo play is also possible, although the experience is primarily focused on multiplayer co-op for three players.
FromSoftware, known for tweaking game difficulty post-launch, may scale the game to support two-player teams in the future updates. Elden Ring Nightreign is set to launch on May 30.
