Elon Musk may appoint his successor as Twitter CEO by end of 2023, after stabilizing the organization and its finances, according to his recent comments at the World Government Summit in Dubai.
Musk took over as Twitter CEO after acquiring the social media firm for $44 billion in October, but has indicated that he doesn't plan to hold the role permanently.
In December, Musk tweeted a poll asking if he should step down as CEO of Twitter, with the majority of the 17.5 million votes saying yes.
Musk joked on Twitter that he will resign as CEO "as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take the job," and will focus on running the software and servers teams.
