Indian startup ePlane is building an electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) vehicle, the e200x, to address the mounting traffic congestion in India.
The e200x has a compact wingspan of 8 meters, allowing it to land in tighter spaces and make multiple short trips on a single charge.
The startup raised a $14 million Series B round co-led by Speciale Invest and Antares Ventures to secure global regulatory certifications and boost commercialization efforts.
ePlane aims to commercialize its electric air taxi in the middle to second half of 2026 after prototyping and obtaining the required certifications.
