Ethereum's price surged by more than 35% in the past two weeks but struggled to hold above $2,500 after nearing $2,700.
Prominent analyst Ali Martinez identified a key support level for Ethereum around the $2,354 - $2,430 zone, where 2.64 million addresses purchased 63.9 million tokens.
Investors with cost bases in this support zone are expected to defend their positions by buying more tokens if the price falls towards $2,400, providing an on-chain cushion for ETH price.
As of now, Ethereum's price is around $2,480 with a slight 0.7% increase in the past 24 hours but down by nearly 4% on the weekly timeframe.
