EU to build AI gigafactories in €20bn push to catch up with US and China
- The EU has revealed plans for a €20bn investment in building AI 'gigafactories' in Europe.
- The aim is to catch up with the US and China, which currently lead in AI technology.
- In addition to the 13 AI factories already in progress, the EU plans to create 3 to 5 gigafactories.
