Bhavish Aggarwal, CEO of Ola Electric, stated that the challenge of service infrastructure in the electric vehicle (EV) industry is not just specific to Ola but an industry-wide issue.
According to Aggarwal, training mechanics in EV technology, battery maintenance, motor, electronics, and software is a new challenge. Ola Electric is investing efforts in addressing this issue to gain customer confidence.
Aggarwal clarified that the reported 80,000 monthly service interactions with Ola Electric are not solely complaints, but also include routine maintenance and minor inquiries. He explained that these numbers are reasonable considering the company's large fleet of 8 lakh vehicles.
Ola Electric posted a net loss of Rs 495 crore for the July-September quarter, despite a narrowing of losses compared to the same period last year. The company's revenue from operations increased to Rs 1,214 crore in Q2 FY25.
