Six former Apple employees have been charged with defrauding the company and the state of California through a charity donation scheme.
The employees donated through Apple's gift-matching program to children's charities and an employee who worked for the charities pocketed Apple's matching funds.
The ex-employees extracted $152,000 from Apple's gift-matching program and overreported $100,000 in donations as tax deductions.
If convicted, the defendants may face jail time, fines, fees, or restitution.
