Jess Lanzillo, former vice president for Dungeons & Dragons and creative director for Magic: The Gathering, has been appointed as creative director for World of Darkness under White Wolf.
Lanzillo will oversee IP development for tabletop RPGs including Vampire: The Masquerade, Werewolf: The Apocalypse, and more, with a focus on expanding World of Darkness across various platforms.
Lanzillo aims to preserve the core identity of World of Darkness while reaching a broader audience and tapping into the untapped potential of the franchise.
White Wolf sees Lanzillo's appointment as a strategic move to drive creativity and shape the future of World of Darkness, amidst a wave of creative figures leaving Dungeons & Dragons for other ventures. Vampire: The Masquerade will soon return to video games with the release of Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 in October.
