French startup Kolet secures €9M in Series A funding led by Daphni for its digital eSIM connectivity platform aimed at travellers.
Kolet, founded in Paris in 2024, has now raised a total of €14M across two funding rounds to enhance its services, launch freemium offers, and expand its team.
The funding round saw participation from former Expedia Group CEO Peter Kern and ex-Apple VP of Marketing Jon Gieselman, among others, with additional funding from Bpifrance.
Kolet has partnerships with Air France, KLM, Kiwi.com, Exoticca, and Wego, attracting 300,000 travellers in its first year with high app store ratings.
Kolet's fully digital eSIM technology offers mobile connectivity in over 190 countries starting at €3.99 for 1GB, addressing the €15B mobile roaming market.
The startup differentiates itself through a B2B2C model and aims to reach 1 million users by leveraging partnerships in the travel industry.
Lead investor Daphni emphasizes Kolet's potential in simplifying traveller experiences and sees growth opportunities in the solution's adoption by partners like Kiwi.com.
Kolet's roadmap includes expansion plans and leveraging its team's expertise in travel technology and telecommunications to bridge connectivity gaps in the industry.
