A former Google employee, Jerry Lee, conducted a social experiment by adding absurd claims, like being an "expert in Mia Khalifa" and setting a record for vodka shots, to his CV.
Despite these outrageous additions, Lee received 29 interview calls from companies such as MongoDB and Robinhood. The experiment aimed to see how much weight his Google credentials carried in the hiring process.
Lee shared his findings on Instagram, advising job-seekers to focus on clear job titles, quantifiable achievements, and a simple resume template to stand out, even without a prestigious background.
