The ex-CFO of Real Brokerage has filed a lawsuit alleging gender and pregnancy discrimination and wrongful termination.
The CFO disclosed her pregnancy to her former employer in January 2024 and was fired in April for alleged improper charges to a company bank card.
The lawsuit claims that the charges were an oversight and that the real reason for her termination was discrimination and retaliation.
Real Brokerage appointed a male successor as CFO the day after the plaintiff was terminated.
The lawsuit alleges that the company reassigned the CFO's duties after learning of her pregnancy and discriminated against her based on her becoming a mother.
The plaintiff, a first-time mother, is seeking relief under the Family and Medical Leave Act, including back pay and compensation for lost wages.
