Exports From Indore SEZ Decline By Over 9% To Rs 12,948 Crore In FY25

  • Exports from Indore Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Madhya Pradesh declined by 9.25% to Rs 12,948 crore in the last financial year.
  • Medicines account for about 70% of the exports from Indore SEZ, with the US being one of the top importers.
  • The decline in exports was attributed to obstacles in getting approval from the USFDA for some products of a major drug manufacturing unit in Indore SEZ.
  • Indore SEZ, spread over 572 hectares, hosts 59 plants across sectors, including drugs, packaging, engineering, textiles, and food processing.
