Facebook is cracking down on accounts that steal and repost content from other users to reduce spam in feeds.
Creators who repeatedly reuse someone else’s videos, photos, or text posts will lose access to Facebook monetization programs and see reduced post distribution.
Meta plans to reduce distribution of duplicate videos and explore ways to give creators credit for their original content.
The changes will gradually roll out over the next months and are part of Meta's effort to combat spam and promote original content visibility.
