- A 23-year-old man from Uttar Pradesh attempted to live stream his suicide on Facebook but was saved by police after being alerted by Meta.
- The man had recently suffered a financial loss of ₹90,000, which was meant for his sister's wedding, and was under distress.
- The police were able to locate the man's home in Ghaziabad within 15 minutes of the start of the live stream with the help of Meta's information and the quick action of the Vijay Nagar SHO.
- The man was counseled by the police and his family members, and is now back in Kannauj with them.

Facebook drains users' batteries on purpose: Meta's ex-employee
- Facebook apps are said to have a secret function of draining a user's smartphone battery. This is allegedly done for the purpose of testing app features and image loading.
- The process of intentionally reducing battery life is referred to as "negative testing."
