Facebook's advertising system experienced a bug on Sunday morning, charging marketers extra money for ads that no one saw, according to reports.
Some advertisers were charged more than double what they agreed to pay, ranging from hundreds to hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Meta, Facebook's parent company, briefly took part of its ad system offline without much communication to customers, and has promised to follow its "normal refund process."
The glitch affected ad delivery on Facebook, not Instagram or other Meta properties, and some affected advertisers say they didn't receive a notification about the issue."
