Ehi-Faith Oluwadare is a mother and serial entrepreneur who owns House 157 and will soon open Legacy 27.
Oluwadare has experienced success and failure in various industries, learning valuable lessons in life and business from each setback.
She started as a freight forwarder, owning her company, Faithful International Shipping, where she shipped containers, dump trucks, and commercial equipment internationally.
Her experience in international shipping taught her resilience against misogyny and the importance of adaptability in business dealings with different cultures.
During a personal crisis of domestic violence, Oluwadare learned the significance of having a supportive team in business to prevent personal turmoil from affecting company operations.
After escaping the violence, she ventured into design and events, founding DE Luxury Events and later owning House 157, a successful restaurant.
Facing challenges as a Black business owner, Oluwadare overcame pushback from locals and zoning issues, demonstrating resilience in pursuing her entrepreneurial endeavors.
House 157 has won awards, attracted notable guests, and will soon have a second location, Legacy 27, focusing on American cuisine.
In addition to her businesses, Oluwadare has launched a non-profit, A Mother's Road to Zion, to raise awareness about domestic violence issues.
Despite not planning to enter various industries, Oluwadare's fearless attitude towards new opportunities has led her to success and resilience in the face of failure.
