SpaceX will launch a Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California carrying multiple U.S. surveillance satellites and 20 Starlink broadband satellites.
The mission, named NROL-126, is the fifth collaboration between SpaceX and the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO).
The Falcon 9 will place the Starlink satellites into a low Earth orbit and land its first stage on a SpaceX drone ship in the Pacific Ocean.
This mission strengthens national security and demonstrates the increasing reliance on commercial spaceflight for spy satellite deployments.
