Fed up with macOS Sequoia’s screen recording reapproval requests? Here’s how to make them go away for good

  • With macOS Sequoia, Apple introduced a feature whereby users are asked to regularly approve access for apps to be allowed to record their screen.
  • There is now a workaround called Amnesia, which can stop the monthly screen recording permission requests on an app-by-app basis.
  • Alternatively, tech-savvy users can achieve the same result using Terminal app with instructions provided by tech blogger Jeff Johnson.
  • Some users find the recurring permission requests bothersome and hope Apple will consider revising the frequency of these requests.
