<ul><li>Space Force has awarded a $60 million federal award to the company Gravitics for their concept called an orbital carrier.</li><li>The concept of an orbital carrier aims to provide tactically responsive launch capabilities, enabling rapid fueling, mating, and launching of satellites in response to developing threats in space.</li><li>The US military first demonstrated this capability with a launch on Firefly's Alpha rocket in 2023, completing all final launch preparations in 27 hours.</li><li>The $60 million funding will enable Gravitics to further develop and advance their orbital carrier concept.</li></ul>
