CrowdStrike CEO George Kurtz announced that the company has deployed a fix for the global Microsoft outage caused by a faulty update to its Falcon Sensor.
The issue, affecting stock exchanges, supermarkets, and flight operations worldwide, has led to Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) errors on Windows systems. Mac and Linux systems are unaffected.
Kurtz confirmed that the outage is not a security incident or cyberattack. Microsoft is addressing the issue with high priority, and Indian CERT-In advises deleting a specific file as a workaround. Both CrowdStrike and Microsoft are working to restore normal service.
