Atlanta-based public safety technology company, Flock Safety, has secured $275 million in funding, led by Andreessen Horowitz, with a valuation of $7.5 billion.
Flock Safety has acquired Drone as First Responder (DFR) technology pioneer, Aerodome, for over $300 million, positioning itself as a major player in drone-based public safety solutions.
The company received FAA approval for Flock Aerodome drones, allowing operations up to 400 feet with citywide coverage, improving situational awareness and reducing response times.
Flock Safety plans to develop and manufacture its own suite of American-made drones, addressing security concerns and aiming to dominate the $50 billion public safety technology market.
