The Juliet Center, a flood-proof bamboo pavilion, is the anchor of the zero-carbon Pono Village in Sindh, Pakistan.Constructed by Nyami Studio and Jack Rankin, the pavilion is built with low-cost and eco-friendly materials including bamboo, mud, lime, and thatch.The flexible, open space of the pavilion empowers the local residents and serves as a venue for community gatherings and educational workshops.The project aligns with Yasmeen Lari's vision of creating sustainable shelters and fostering self-sufficiency in flood-prone regions.
