Apple is reportedly preparing to launch the first foldable iPhone by beginning production of foldable OLED displays with Samsung Display manufacturing the screens.
The dedicated production line in South Korea's A3 factory can produce up to 15 million 7-inch foldable OLED panels annually, with Apple aiming to manufacture 6 to 8 million units in 2026.
The foldable iPhone is expected to feature an inward-folding design with a 7-inch OLED screen, a super-thin 4.5mm profile, Touch ID, and a dual rear camera system.
The iPhone Fold could potentially launch in 2026 alongside the iPhone 18 series, estimated to cost around $2,000, giving Apple fans a new high-end option in the lineup.
