Nick Kroll and his co-creators are working on a new project called Mating Season as a follow-up to Big Mouth, which ended after its eighth season.
Mating Season will introduce new characters in a wilderness setting, focusing on relationships with animals such as bears, raccoons, deer, and foxes.
Unlike Big Mouth, which portrayed puberty trials from a middle-schooler's perspective, Mating Season will narrate relationship stories set in the great outdoors.
The new show is expected to debut around 2026, as mentioned by Kroll during an interview with Dax Shepherd on Armchair Expert.
Nick Kroll expresses his enthusiasm about expanding the cinematic universe associated with Big Mouth, which also includes the spin-off Human Resources.
Kroll, along with Andrew Goldberg, Mark Levin, and Jennifer Flackett, will collaborate with the same animation studio that worked on Big Mouth for this new project.
