  • Amul, founded in 1948 in Gujarat, is the world's largest producer of milk and other dairy products, offering products such as milk, paneer, butter, ice cream, and many more.
  • Britannia Industries Limited specializes in the production and marketing of biscuits, bread, cakes, and dairy products and is one of India's most popular food brands.
  • Nestle, headquartered in Vevey, Switzerland, is one of the largest food brands in India, providing a wide range of baby food, breakfast cereals, coffee, tea, and other confectionery. It has more than 8 manufacturing plants.
  • KRBL Limited is a leading exporter of basmati rice, exporting to various countries and generating an annual revenue of approximately $3.3 million.
  • Haldiram’s, based in Nagpur, specializes in making sweets and snacks, providing more than 100 products such as frozen meals, sweets, cookies, ice creams, chips, and other snacks. It also owns a chain of restaurants across India.
  • MTR Foods, based in Bangalore, provides a wide range of ready-to-eat curries, gravies, frozen food, spice mixes, pickles, and papads, and milk-based beverages. In partnership with Norwegian conglomerate Orkla, the company earned $8.9 million in 2017.
  • Parle Agro is known for products such as Frooti, Appy, Bailey, and Coca-Cola, generating an annual revenue of $431 million.
