Ford is recalling its Tourneo due to a manufacturing defect with the child locks on the dual power sliding doors.
The defect may allow the sliding door to be opened from the inside while the vehicle is in motion, posing a risk of injury or death to occupants.
A total of 59 Tourneos manufactured from 2024 to 2025 are affected, with only 12 having been sold. Ford dealers will repair the child lock feature at no cost to owners.
Owners of affected vehicles are advised to schedule an appointment with a Ford Australia dealership for the necessary rectification. Contact the Ford Customer Relationship Centre for further assistance.
