Former Xbox boss, Peter Moore, admitted he knew Sony's Killzone 2 E3 showcase was misleading as it was not actual gameplay footage but a 'target render'.
Sony used the Killzone 2 video at E3 2005 to showcase the power of the PlayStation 3 over Microsoft's Xbox 360, similar to previous tactics against Sega's Dreamcast.
Moore recalled that Sony's strategy with the Killzone 2 video was to create an impressive but unrealistic presentation to overshadow Xbox 360's launch.
Despite Sony's efforts, Moore recognized the deceit in the demo, stating, 'I knew it that night when I watched it. There's no way they're delivering this experience.'
