Taiwanese iPhone maker Foxconn aims to become a contract manufacturer for Japanese carmakers, including Nissan.
Foxconn's chief strategy officer, Jun Seki, confirmed that a deal with Mitsubishi to supply its EVs is being finalized.
Foxconn already produces the Model C for the Taiwanese Luxgen brand and plans to launch its first model in Australia next year.
