Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) remained net sellers of Indian equities for the fourth consecutive day, with net sales of shares amounting to Rs 1,481.2 crore.
Domestic institutional investors, on the other hand, were net buyers, acquiring equities worth Rs 1,333.1 crore.
FPIs have bought shares worth Rs 1,188 crore in July and Rs 14,590 crore in the previous month, but in 2025, FPIs have net sold equities worth Rs 76,713 crore.
Indian benchmark equity indices closed lower for the second consecutive day, with the NSE Nifty 50 ending 0.19% lower and the BSE Sensex closing 0.2% down.
