Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) remained net sellers of Indian equities for the third consecutive day, selling shares worth Rs 1,542.6 crore.
Domestic institutional investors, on the other hand, were net buyers, acquiring equities worth Rs 2,763.1 crore for the third straight session.
FPIs have purchased shares worth Rs 14,590 crore in June, with a total of Rs 19,860 crore in the previous month and have sold equities worth Rs 75,966 crore in 2025 so far.
India's benchmark indices closed lower on Wednesday, affected by HDFC Bank Ltd. and Larsen & Toubro Ltd. performance.
