France is increasing security measures for cryptocurrency entrepreneurs and their families after two confirmed kidnappings and one attempted abduction involving industry figures and their relatives.
The French Interior Ministry announced the new measures, including priority access to the police emergency line, home visits, and safety briefings by law enforcement.
Officers will receive training on anti-crypto asset laundering.
The incidents prompted Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau to take action to protect the crypto industry, with several arrests already made in connection to the kidnappings.
