French Hill, a crypto-friendly Republican, has been voted to chair the US House Financial Services Committee in the next year's new Congress.
Hill won the race against representatives Andy Barr, Bill Huizenga, and Frank Lucas, who are also supportive of cryptocurrencies.
He has championed crypto bills and legislation to regulate digital assets, demonstrating his commitment to the industry.
Hill will take over the position from the current Chair Patrick McHenry, aiming to enact a clear regulatory framework and consumer protections for the digital asset ecosystem.
