GenAI-focussed startup subtl.ai has shut down after failing to raise funds despite previously securing $200K from angel investors.
Cofounder and CEO Vishnu Ramesh announced on LinkedIn that the startup was closing due to the inability to secure additional capital.
The startup, launched in 2019, aimed to optimize information discovery for enterprises using GenAI technology, with plans to build a 'Private Google' for businesses.
Despite aspirations to raise a seed round of $1 Mn and achieve $500K Mn in FY25 revenues, subtl.ai only generated INR 55 Lakh in total revenue since 2020, leading to its closure.
