General Motors unveiled an "advanced design study" of the Chevrolet Corvette concept car, developed by its UK design team, alongside the opening of a new advanced design studio in Royal Leamington Spa, England.
The concept car measures 4,669 mm long, 2,178 mm wide, and 1,033 mm tall, drawing inspiration from rear-mid-engined race cars and featuring a windshield central spar as part of its halo roof structure.
The Corvette concept utilizes additive manufacturing for its body structure, pushrod suspension layout, and Aeroduality airflow management system to improve efficiency and range.
While the UK-designed Corvette concept will not be put into production, it aims to push the boundaries of design and technology. The final show car is set to be unveiled in the second half of this year.
