General Motors has stopped exporting American-made vehicles to China due to tariffs imposed during President Trump’s trade disputes with the country.
Chevrolet Tahoe sport utility vehicles exports to China have been halted, along with plans to export other high-end models by G.M.
The exports under the Durant Guild initiative, named after G.M.'s founder Billy Durant, accounted for less than 0.1% of the vehicles G.M. sells in China.
G.M. mentioned restructuring the Durant Guild due to economic conditions and stated commitment to developing the China market through joint ventures and focusing on business sustainability.
